Uzbekistan and Israel have discussed new employment avenues for Uzbek nationals seeking work in Israel, the press service of the Agency for External Labor Migration reported.
According to the agency, its director, Behzod Musaev, met with Israeli Ambassador to Uzbekistan Gideon Lustig. The two discussed expanding organized labor placement programs for Uzbek citizens in Israel, improving candidate selection procedures, and reducing costs for applicants.
The Israeli side praised the performance of Uzbek workers in the construction and caregiving sectors, noting potential for further cooperation in agriculture, medical assistance, and technical trades as well.
The two sides also agreed to arrange a visit to Uzbekistan by the head of Israel's Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA).
This follows an earlier announcement by the Agency for External Labor Migration that Uzbek nationals were being invited to work at Ultra Beauty stores in Qatar. Those positions, which span sales, cosmetics, customer service, and store management, offer monthly salaries of up to $5,500.
