Uzbekistan Railways is actively modernizing the railway network, upgrading staff capabilities, and improving passenger service quality in the Navoiy province, the company said in a statement.
Zufar Narzullayev, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Railways, visited the province to inspect planned projects, digitalization initiatives, and new passenger amenities.
The visit began at the Navoiy Railway Station, where ongoing reconstruction work was reviewed. Modern architectural solutions are being integrated into the station building to elevate service quality and enhance overall infrastructure. During the inspection, the Chairman placed special emphasis on implementing additional conveniences for travelers throughout the construction phase.
The itinerary then continued to the MPS Turon Training Center, which operates under the Bukhara Provinceal Railway Junction. The primary mission of this center is to broadly integrate modern, locally developed signaling and automation systems—such as MPS Turon, MPAB Turon, DSTuron, and MAPS Turon—into the national railway infrastructure, while simultaneously training highly skilled specialists to manage them.
Zufar Narzullayev emphasized that the center plays a vital role not only in workforce development but also in leveraging innovative technologies to build new railway lines and modernize existing infrastructure. He further noted that the facility must be fully equipped with cutting-edge machinery and technical tools to ensure practical training is conducted at the highest standards.
