The Termez military training ground will host the joint Khamkorlik-2025 (Cooperation) exercises of the Uzbek and Russian Armed Forces from July 15 to 21, the press service of the Defense Ministry said.

The military personnel of the two countries will practice commanding units to detect and destroy small groups of armed regiments in border areas that have illegal crossed the border, commanding units to destroy groups of illegal armed regiments that have occupied buildings and positions in border areas, occupying captured buildings and positions by combined arms units, countering small enemy groups, as well as organizing an assault and clearing of a settlement occupied by militants of illegal armed regiments.

The servicemen of the 201st military base of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation have already arrived in Uzbekistan. The units marched in columns of military and special equipment through the mountains of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for more than 300 km and arrived at the training ground.

The core of the Russian military contingent will be made up of units from the 201st military base of the Central Military District: mountain and assault units, mobile electronic warfare groups, reconnaissance UAV and FPV drone crews, as well as crews of the aviation group on Mi-24 assault helicopters.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia's largest foreign-based military facility. It is located in the cities of Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance, air defense, NBC protection and communications units.

Uzbekistan and Russia signed a for strategic military partnership plan for 2026-2030. The Defense Minister Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov met with his counterpart Andrei Belousov and thanked Belousov for the conditions created for the preparation of the military contingent of Uzbekistan, which participated in the military parade in Moscow.
