Komil Allamjonov has been appointed independent advisor in a voluntary capacity to the new chief of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva.
In this position, he will reportedly provide expert assistance in charge of innovation economy, investments, ensuring freedom of speech, and supporting independent media.
As reported earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva had been appointed as the new chief of the Presidential Administration.
Komil Allamjonov, 41, holds undergraduate degree from the State Institute of Arts and Culture (2006) and a graduate degree from the Tashkent State University of Economics (2010). From 2005 to 2013, he worked in the Tax Committee.
In December 2017, Komil Allamjonov became the head of the press service of the President, and in November 2018, he was named as the chief of the Press and Information Agency (in February 2019, this organization was transformed into the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration).
He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mass Media Support Fund from January 2020 to July 2022, when he was picked for the Deputy chief of the Presidential Administration role.
Since August 2023, he has been working as the chief of the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration. Last year, he resigned from the chief of the Information Policy Department. Later, he announced that he would continue his activities in the private sector.
