Urgent meeting took place at the Tashkent police department dedicated to public safety and stabilizing the criminal situation, the press service of the Interior Ministry said. The event was attended by officials of the Presidential Administration, Interior Minister Major General Aziz Tashpulatov, and heads of law enforcement bodies.
By an order of the Minister Aziz Tashpulatov, the Colonel Ravshan Sultankhodzhaev has been appointed the chief Tashkent police department.
Prior to his appointment, he had been working as Head of the Khorezm province police department. Ravshan Sultankhodzhaev also served as Deputy chief of the Tashkent police department/Head of the Crime Prevention Department in 2021.
Earlier, Aziz Tashpulatov, who had been serving as chief of the TPD, by the presidential decree was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, replacing Pulat Bobojanov, who had been in charge of the Interior Ministry since September 2017.
