The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif will land in  Uzbekistan for an official visit on February 25-26, the presidential press service said.

Reportedly, the parties will focus on the ways to further develop and expand the Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership and multifaceted ties.

They are expected to discuss joint plans to increase the two-way trade volumes, enhance transportation connectivity, and unlock transit potential. They will also be promoting cooperation projects in the fields of light and leather industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, and other sectors.

Additionally, the discussions will cover the activation of cultural, humanitarian, and tourism relations. An exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues will take place.

At the end of the summit, a Joint Declaration and a number of bilateral documents are expected to be adopted.

As part of the business program of the visit, the leaders will also attend the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum.
