From July 1, passengers in Uzbekistan can check in for domestic flights using soft versions of IDs, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports said.
As reported earlier, from this date, digital versions of a number of documents, including a n ID, international pssportand driver's license, are recognized equally as the originals. They are available in the MyGov and Social Card (under development) apps.
Electronic copies can be presented at government agencies, banks and other organizations, as well as at airports and train stations.
Uzbekistan Airports explained how this works at the airport. Before check-in, the passenger must log into their personal account on the website, in the MyGov or Social Card app, go to the page with personal data and show the electronic ID to the agent at the check-in counter.
In this case, current data is accepted as identification. Therefore, copies, photographs, scans of a passport / ID or screenshots of the page with personal data will not be accepted during check-in.
