The Tashkent public transport will soon receive the delivery of another 200 Chinese electric buses, the press service of the Toshshahartranskhizmat (Tashkent public transport government body) said.
These vehicles are specially designed for Central Asia. At a ceremony at the plant on June 28, the Yutong presented the 10,000th bus produced for the region which was purchased by Toshshahartranskhizmat.
The first 20 Yutong electric buses were delivered to in Tashkent in early 2022. While, in 2023the company delivered 800 buses to the capital of Uzbekistan, including 300 electric buses and 500 vehicles running on compressed gas.
, it was reported In February that Yutong Bus was awraded contract for the supply of 200 electric buses and charging stations to Tashkent, beating BYD Auto Industry and Zhongtong Bus Holding.
