As part of the activities of the Youth Affairs Agency, a national target fund will be set within the Fund for Support of Young Entrepreneurs aimed at the development of youth entrepreneurship.
This is envisaged by the president’s Measures to improve the system of support for young entrepreneurs and business projects aimed at ensuring youth employment Decree.
The fund's resources will be increased to US$ 100 million, through certain sources.
With the support of the fund, it is planned to ensure employment and attract at least 50 thousand young people to entrepreneurial activity.
A US$ 10 million venture fund will be set up under the fund, which will finance promising startup projects of young people. Up to 2 billion soums will be contributed for such projects with the potential to enter foreign markets.
, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also approved the Decree that provides for additional measures to support the employment of university graduates, the Ministry of Justice said.
A Step into the Future program will be implemented in Uzbekistan, which is aimed at helping graduates to find jobs. The program includes:
- full support for developing a business project, including financing on soft terms, will be provided to final-year students who want to implement their business ideas;
- open competitions in various areas among graduates and senior students of universities, as well as assistance in finding jobs for the winners.
