Amendments and addenda have been made to the President’s Measures to set up cryptographic protection of information in Uzbekistan Decree, which provide for the following:
▪️ improving of the procedures for developing cryptographic information protection tools;
▪️ identifying requirements for the use of software tools for cryptographic information protection in protecting state secrets;
▪️ extending the certification period for cryptographic information protection tools;
▪️ improving the procedure for recognizing foreign certificates of conformity.
According to the amendments, the use of Secure Channel Protocols (SCP) in protecting state secrets is permitted by laws and national standards, as well as departmental documents of the authorized body.
In this case, it is necessary to notify the authorized body in writing about the use of SCPs in protecting state secrets, indicating the number of copies and the purpose of their use.
