The Tax Committee unveiled the Top 10 state-owned companies and Top 10 private taxpayers in 2024. Overall, 949 large taxpayers paid almost 123.3 trillion soums in taxes. Of this amount, 70.25 trillion soums fall on top 10 taxpayers in which the government holds a stake.
Top 10 taxpayers with government stake:
The top taxpayer in 2024 was the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant (NMMC) on 35.5 trillion soums paid in taxes.
NMMC was followed by Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant - 10.8 trillion soums, the uranium producer and exporter Navoiyuran - 4.6 trillion soums, Uzbekneftegaz - 4.19 trillion soums, the gas supplier to households and businesses Khududgaztaminot - over 4 trillion soums, the state-owned gas importer and exporter UzGasTrade - 3.87 trillion soums.
Seventh to tenth place: UzAuto Motors - 3.37 trillion soums, Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex - 1.43 trillion soums, the National Bank of Uzbekistan (NBU) - 1.43 trillion soums and the telecommunications company Uzbektelecom - 1.1 trillion soums.
Top 10 private taxpayers
Another 8.68 trillion soums were paid by 10 private taxpayers.
UZBAT joint venture, which has been producing tobacco and nicotine-containing products since 1994 ranks first paying 2.94 trillion soums in taxes.
UZBAT was followed by another tobacco company — Tashkent Tobacco, which paid over 1 trillion soums in a year.
In third place with 845.9 billion soums, the foreign enterprise Gid License Plate, registered in May 2023. In the first quarter, the company ranked eighth.
Next comes the EPC company, Enter Engineering — 844.4 billion soums, which is involved in almost all major projects in the country.
Fifth was the soft drink manufacturer Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekistan - 634.2 billion soums, sixth place - Kapitalbank with 610.3 billion soums worth of taxes paid, followed by the mobile operator Beeline - 576.6 billion soums, Hamkorbank - 539.9 billion soums, International Beverages Tashkent (manufacturer of Pepsi and other drinks) - 342.8 billion soums, the car manufacturer ADM Jizzakh, which assembles Kia, Chery, Haval and Hyundai truck & buses in Uzbekistan - 336 billion soums.
