Uzbekistan reviewed toll rates for foreign trucks. This follows from the 2025 State Budget Law. In particular, the entry fees for trucks registered in Turkmenistan have been significantly raised. From January 1, 2025, depending on the tonnage, they will be:

  • up to 10 tons - $130 per truck (previously $50);
  • from 10 to 20 tons - $180 ($100);
  • over 20 tons - $250 ($150)

In addition, the size of the additional importing fee from third countries and exporting fee from trucks of Turkmenistan will increase by $200 - from $175 to $375.

Differentiated tariffs have been introduced for the European Union countries and Azerbaijan depending on the length of stay: $80 for entry up to 14 days, $280 for more than 14 days.

The size of this fee, which was charged upon entry of a vehicle into Uzbekistan, can be recalculated upon exit. The recalculation depends on the actual length of stay of the vehicle in the country.

Upon entry into Uzbekistan, there is a fee of $400 for each permit for international road transport by foreign carriers in excess of the needs of national carriers. At the same time, a decreasing coefficient of 0.5 shall be applied to the transit permit fee rate, and an increasing coefficient of 2 shall be applied to a transportation permit to (from) third countries.

A zero-rate fee has been set for Iranian vehicles on a parity basis.

For other countries, the fees remain the same:

  • Tajikistan — $100-150-200 depending on tonnage;
  • Kazakhstan — $300;
  • Kyrgyzstan — $300;
  • Afghanistan — $50;
  • other countries - $400.

In October, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan agreed to collect payments for transport services on a parity and transparent basis. It was reported that fees for national carriers would become equal from 2025.

The countries also plan to launch a system for the electronic exchange of permit forms (E-Permit). Such systems are currently in place for transportation between Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.
