The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov in a telephone conversation on October 26 invited the Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Turkmenistan, the Turkmenistan National News Agency said.
The invitation was accepted with gratitude and the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
In the telephone conversation initiated by the Uzbek side, Shavkat Mirziyayev congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence wishing him fruitful activities in the responsible capacity as the President, and also the prosperity and further progress to the Turkmen people.
The heads of state also exchanged views on a number of topical international issues, noting with satisfaction the convergence of views and positions on key issues of regional and global agenda.
