President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a yearly summary government meeting via videoconference, which also discussed the main plans for 2025 and supporting business.
The speakers at the meeting underscored “the great work” completed in the tourism sector, with 6.5 trillion soums worth of investment by entrepreneurs, and a total of 24 thousand hotel rooms commissioned in 2024.
Next year, the number of hotel rooms will increase by another 30 thousand, through 10 trillion soums in investment.
In addition to 17 large shopping and tourist venues commissioned this year, another 25 such complexes will be added.
$10 billion Sea Breeze tourist complex project will be launched in Charvak, Bostanlyk. While, 23 global hotel brands, such as Swissôtel, Sheraton, Ritz-Carlton, Novotel, Pullman, Marriott, ibis, Mercure are expected to enter Uzbekistan.
A separate company has been set up for trade development, and $ 350 million has been allocated to finance exports. As a result, businesses exported 6 dollars for every 1 dollar given.
Another 300 million dollars will be allocated for this next year.
