Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan held talks with officials of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Authority in Beijing, China, Dunyo said.
The parties discussed the bilateral consular and legal cooperation, the existing migration regulations in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, in particular, future plans for the development of bilateral tourism exchanges with the Head for the Immigration Affairs of the Authority, Wong Wei-ki Xarier.
During the talks, they also touched upon visa policy of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the protection of reciprocal rights of the nationals of the two countries, and the expansion of the related regulatory and legal framework between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
In addition, the Uzbek authorities aimed to reach an agreement on mutual visa-free with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The Hong Kong officials stated they also sought to further enhance bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan in all areas, , in particular, expanding mutual tourists flow and consistently boost the tourism sector.
