Fruit and vegetable products grown in Uzbekistan are exported directly to Sweden. Executives of leading exporting companies of Uzbekistan attended a webinar dedicated to the supply of fresh fruit and vegetable products, organized by the Swedish National Trade Council with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

The market of Sweden and the Scandinavian countries in general is attractive for the export of fruit and vegetable products, and import prices in these countries are higher than the world average.

It was reported at the event that fruit and vegetable products grown in Uzbekistan enter Sweden mainly through the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. Therefore, in order to directly deliver export goods in the future, proposals were made to open warehouses and trading houses for food and fruit and vegetable products in the cities of Stockholm and Helsingborg.

Swedish partners made a presentation on the tariff and non-tariff measures required for the import of fresh fruit and vegetable products, as well as the procedure for working with large trade networks.
