The Embassy of Uzbekistan and the USAID Office in Tashkent organized the participation of the delegation of the Uztextile Industry Association in the Fast Textile 2024 international textile exhibition, which took place in Warsaw on November 19-21 this year.

Business Forum took place as part of the trip on November 19 at the Ptak Warsaw Expo exhibition hall in cooperation with the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce.

The attention of the participants was drawn to the current state of affairs and perspectives of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland in the trade, economic, political, investment, cultural, humanitarian and tourism areas, in particular, the importance of direct flights between Tashkent and Warsaw, launched in March 2024.

The presentation by the embassy staff underscored that, thanks to the GSP+ regime of the European Union, the volume of the trade increased by 20 percent and reached US$ 600 million by the end of 2023.

Reportedly, sales of Uzbek textile products through five textile trading houses operating in Poland have increased.

Also, negotiations took place in the G2B and B2B formats within the framework of the event. Important agreements were reached on the implementation of a number of joint programs and projects.
