The arrivals hall reconstruction and expansion project commenced at Tashkent International Airport, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports said.

Due to this, the left exit to the terminal will be closed. Now arrivals will exit the building straight. A temporary canopy will be erected to ensure safety during works. The greeting area will operate as usual.

According to the project, the area of ​​the arrivals terminal will increase by 2,500 sq. m by moving the building's facade forward. At present, the area of ​​the arrivals hall is 5,300 sq. m.

This stage also includes the installation of two more baggage carousels and the creation of a spacious greeting area inside the terminal, the report says.

The project is scheduled to be completed in May 2025, after which the final phase of reconstruction will begin, which involves merging the departure and arrival terminals. This will create a large single airport complex with a capacity of 2,400 passengers per hour.
