Driver of a GM Lacetti, 30, hit a 57-year-old man standing at the gate of his house in Kushtepa district of the Fergana province, the Milliy TV channel reported.
The car knocked down the gate of the house at high speed, drove into it, and then flipped over on its side.
The man who was hit sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.
"My uncle and I were standing here, talking. A Gentra was driving from there, it seemed to have lost control, and hit him with its side," an eyewitness said.
A case has been opened under Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles, with an investigation currently underway.
