GM Uzbekistan will launch production of Chevrolet Trailblazer, Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Traverse SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicle) in December 2019, said the head of strategic planning, analytics and development at Uzavtosanoat Rustam Kodirov.
“If I am not mistaken, in December, or at the beginning of next year we will launch the production of three new models. The production volume will be very small, as we must focus primarily on demand. It makes no sense to produce hundreds of thousands of Trailblazers, which no one is going to buy,” Kodirov added.
Earlier, the new SUV models were presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 17 in Andijan. GM Uzbekistan plans to bring the level of localization of new models to 50%.
