World's largest cost of living database Numbeo provided data on cost of living in Tashkent city. According to Numbeo, estimated monthly costs for a family of four, excluding rent, stands at 22,884,236 soums, or 1880 USD, and 6.4 million soums for a single person.
It also provided insights into cost of living, housing price indicators, perceived crime rates, healthcare quality, transport quality, and various other key statistics in Tashkent city.
According to Numbeo, 27.9 percent of expenses are spent on purchasing various products in stores, 29.9 percent on monthly rent, 14.6 percent on restaurant meals, 9.8 percent on transport, and 7.8 percent on sports and leisure.
The Numbeo database also provided some figures on the monthly net salary in 127 countries. According to it, Uzbeks’ average net salary is $ 499 per month, and is ranked 85th out of 127 countries.
The top 3 of the international ranking are Switzerland, Luxembourg and Iceland. While, Turkey is ranked 55th, Russia - 63rd, Kazakhstan - 82nd, Azerbaijan - 90th, Kyrgyzstan - 95th, and Tajikistan - 108th.
