President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today visited the business aviation airport project in Kibray district of Tashkent province, the president’s press service reported.

Delegation of Polish business executives led by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Papaža will land n Uzbekistan in early June to attend the 7th round of inter-MFA political consultations and a business forum.

One of the biggest ever delegation of German business executives will visit Uzbekistan between May 14-16. The visit is arranged by the Uzbek Embassy in Germany jointly with the Eastern Committee of the German Economy and the German-Uzbek Business Council.

Turkish Çalık Holding will build a Turkish Business District in Tashkent, which will host a business center, hotels, a Ziraat Bank office and a shopping/entertainment center. The project is estimated at US$ 400 million, the deputy Tashkent mayor for responsible investments, innovations and tourism development Alisher Tilyaev said.

Insulin production plant Zamin Bio Health, financed with the loan of Trust Bank, was inaugurated in Andijan yesterday. It is the only company in Central Asia that specializes in the production of insulin.

The government of Uzbekistan and Veolia group of companies (France), a global leader in water management, waste management, transport and energy services, signed Memorandums of Cooperation (MoC) for implementing projects in Namangan and Tashkent, UzA said. President Mirziyoyev by his March 24 decree cancelled the mandatory pre-shipment inspection of goods imported into Uzbekistan. The document is aimed at "further liberalization of foreign trade, creation of equal and favorable conditions for businesses, as well as removal of unnecessary barriers in trading activities."

The government of Uzbekistan has determined a site in Tashkent, where the High-Tech City innovations district will be located. According to the Cabinet's March 5 Decree the district will be located between the Amir Temur, Sandikkurgon, Iftikhor streets and Small Ring road.
