A 20 company strong German delegation will arrive in Tashkent on September 18-23  to hold meetings and talks with Uzbek companies, with the visit co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan(CCI) and the German Economy Office for Central Asia, CCI reported.

Seeking investments from India, Uzbekistan today highlighted food processing, textiles and tourism among the sectors that can help strengthen bilateral cooperation and boost economic ties of the two countries. Uzbek Foreign Trade Minister Elyor Ganiev said that the central Asian country has taken several measures to improve business and investment climate for foreign investors, PTI News said.

UzTrade within the Ministry of Foreign Trade (MFT) inaugurated a trading house in New Delhi in a view to boost Uzbekistan's exports in the Indian market, the MFT said. The trading house will host a showroom of goods of Uzbek manufacturers.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by his July 28 decree, appointed Dilmurod Kasimov (former first deputy prosecutor of Samarkand province) as the Commissioner for the Protection of Rights and Legal Interests of Entrepreneurs (Business Ombudsman) under the President.
