South Korean GS Engineering & Construction Corp. will launch the methanol-to-gasoline (MTG) unit in 2022 in Uzbekistan.

The Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution on September 16 handing over the state share’s in the authorized capital of UzIkkilamchiRangliMetal for trust management to SFI Management Group, a foreign company, the company said in a statement.

For the first time, the United States will be holding its flagship international business event, the Eighth Annual Central Asia Trade Forum, in Uzbekistan. The event, organized by the U.S. Agency for international Development (USAID) and co-hosted by the Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Government of Uzbekistan, will be held in Tashkent on October 17-18, 2018 in Tashkent.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree Tuesday setting up Bukhoro-Agro free economic zone (FEZ) in Bukhara province. The FEZ is expected to host local and foreign investment-based high-end greenhouse, as well as facilities for production of structures, equipment and other components for energy-efficient greenhouses.
