As reported earlier, the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoev, as part of his trip to Turkey, met with the senior executives of Turkish business companies.
After the opening remarks by the President Shavkat Mirziyoev, the Turkish top managers made presentations on their projects.
In particular, the chairman of Eczacıbaşı Group, Bülent Eczacıbaşı said that the company had been closely monitoring the evolution of the business environment in Uzbekistan since 2017.
“Mr. President, I am well aware of your efforts to make Uzbekistan an attractive destination for investors not only in Central Asia but also around the world.”
“Eczacıbaşı Group is a 80 year-old company and consists of over 40 companies. We want to work with Uzbekistan and we want to get started soon.”
“We are considering setting up of a sanitary ware production unit.”
Eczacıbaşı Group, the group with 41 companies has 12,500 employees and a combined net turnover of over US$ 2 billion. Eczacıbaşı's core sectors are building products, pharmaceuticals and consumer products. Additionally, the group is active in finance, information technology, welding technology and real estate.
