On 14 November 2016, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Petko Draganov. 

November 8-13, Fergana hosted meetings of working groups of governmental delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on delimitation and demarcation of the state boundary.

The Central Election Commission, having examined the documents presented by the political parties, has adopted the Presidential candidates registration Decision, which allows the candidates to start campaigning. 

On Friday the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Thomas Shannon as part of his Uzbekistan visit went to Samarkand, where he laid a wreath at the tomb of the First President Islam Karimov.
