Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have made an agreement on recognition of undergraduate and graduate diplomas.

The agreement now needs to be backed and ratified by the governments and parliaments of the states. The government of Kazakhstan already passed the document on November 12.

To ensure quality compliance in respective higher education systems, the parties recognize higher education diplomas obtained in their respective countries if relevant majors confirmed by these diplomas meet the general requirements of the higher education system.

Recognition of a diploma may be denied only if significant differences in the requirements of the higher education system are proven.

The agreement grants the right to professional activity, internships, and continued education in relevant fields.
