Uzbekistan Airways and CALC (China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited) have signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the lease of four new two-class cabin Airbus A321neo aircraft, with aircraft deliveries due in 2027–2028.
The new aircraft will be equipped with Airbus' modern Airspace Premium cabins, a modern in-flight entertainment system and wireless high-speed Internet. These solutions will allow passengers to use digital services during the flight and further increase the level of comfort on board.
In line with the aircraft fleet renewal and expansion program for 2026–2028, Uzbekistan Airways will receive the deliveries of six Airbus A321neo aircraft from CALC before 2029. This will allow the airline to increase the number of A321neo aircraft to 15 and further strengthen its position as the leading air carrier in Central Asia.
CALC President and Commercial Director Winnie Liu noted that the partnership with Uzbekistan Airways has been further reinforced through the new contract for delivery of four A321neo aircraft. According to him, these latest generation aircraft reflect CALC's commitment to supporting airlines with sustainable and flexible solutions for fleet renewal, which will increase operational efficiency and passenger comfort.
