Personnel changes took place in the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry said in a statement. Furqat Sidiqov, who has been Deputy Foreign Minister since May 2020, has been appointed First Deputy Foreign Minister.

Bakhromjon Aloev, who worked as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, became the Deputy Foreign Minister.

Furkat Sidikov, 51, graduated from the Tashkent State Technical University. He worked as a senior specialist at UzDaewoo Electronics JV (1993-1995), employee, senior researcher, leading researcher at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President (1995-2002, 2007-2011).

He also served as attaché at the Embassy of Uzbekistan to the United States (2002-2007), First Secretary of this Embassy (2011-2015), Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan (2015-2020).

Bakhromjon Aloev worked as an adviser - Chargé d'Affaires in Kuwait. From 2008 to 2012, he headed the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, and before that, he served as head of the Department for Cooperation with the CIS Countries and Russia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
