Secretary General of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili landed in Uzbekistan. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the high-ranking guest was welcomed at the Samarkand International Airport by Aziz Abduhakimov, the Deputy PM/Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
During the visit, the UNWTO SG will attend the II Economic Forum of Uzbekistan in Samarkand and is scheduled to visit the Boqiy Shahar (Eternal City) complex in the Samarkand Tourist Center and the Congress Hall, where the 25th session of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly will be held in Samarkand in 2023.
In addition, he will visit the Konigil tourist village and the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand. The distinguished guest is expected to give a speech for university students.
The visit will last through November 7.
