Uzsuvtaminot and Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services will implement the Improvement of sewerage system in Tashkent city Project. The relevant memorandum was signed in Tashkent on Wednesday, the press service of Uzsuvtaminot said.
As part of the project, a daily 1 million m3 per throughput capacity sewage treatment plant will be built in Surum makhalla of Kuyichirchik district of Tashkent province.
The memorandum was signed by First Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services /Chairman of Uzsuvtaminot Sahib Saifnazarov and CEO of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Ahmed Al-Shamsi.
The construction of the new facility will make it possible to receive wastewater entering SPS-3 sewage pumping station into Bektemir and Binokor sewage treatment facilities by gravity. As a result, a total saving of 55.4 kW of electricity per day will be achieved, the report says.
After the completion of the project’s first stage, over 400 thousand residents, as well as enterprises and organizations in the Sergeli, Bektemir and Yangikhayot districts of Tashkent will be covered by centralized sewerage services.
The project will also lead to the improvement of the sanitary-epidemiological and environmental situation in these three districts.
Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services was established in 2005 to collect and treat wastewater from all communities in Abu Dhabi, as well as the safe disposal of solid and liquid household waste from households. It is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Holding Company.
