On the sidelines of the Central Asia-EU Summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Thursday.

According to the presidential press service, the parties considered the ways to further enhance the Uzbek-Kazakh ties of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.

They pointed to the need to expand practical cooperation in priority areas of bilateral cooperation and focused on the prospects for increasing trade turnover, the implementation of investment projects in the fields of industry, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.

There was also an exchange of views on regional and international issues. The agenda of the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held on November 11 in Samarkand, was. discussed
