The Ministry of Internal Affairs has prepared a draft resolution amending the Cabinet of Ministers’ Measures to simplify the procedure for registering foreign citizens and stateless persons in Uzbekistan Resolution.
The following amendments will be made to the resolution:
- temporary registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan shall be by contacting local Migration Departments, hotels/hostels or medical institutions within three working days after their entry into Uzbekistan;
- accommodation of foreign citizens and stateless persons who have violated the rules of stay in Uzbekistan, by the administration of accommodation facilities and resorts, owners of private housing using the E-mehmon program with informing local police department;
- in order to ensure complete and reliable registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in medical institutions, resorts, hotels, these institutions to carry out their activities in the prescribed manner on the basis of a certificate, with integration into special automated electronic program.
