Tashkent to Andijan and Tashkent to Samarkand toll highways will be completed by 2026, announced the Director of the State-Private Partnership Development Agency Zokir Bozorov.

He said that the preparation and study of documents on 5 large transport projects planned to be implemented in 2022-2026 are ongoing.

These are:

Tashkent to Andijan toll highway project, which is being implemented with the support of the World Bank;

Tashkent to Samarkand toll highway project, which is being implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

66-km highway project between the cities of Samarkand and Shahrisabz and a 4.4-km tunnel at Takhtakoracha pass.

Also, studies by the World Bank Group on modernization and management projects of Tashkent city and provincial international airports are ongoing.

Studies on the modernization and management project of Bukhara and Urganch international airports are ongoing.

It was reported that the Public-Private Partnership Development Agency under the Ministry of Finance, together with the relevant ministries and agencies, worked on a total of 423 public-private partnership projects with a total value of more than US$ 12.4 billion from 2019 to September of this year.
