President’s spokesman, Sherzod Asadov, at the traditional Monday briefing gave information about the activities of the head of state last week and the work plan for the current week.
"This week, the work schedule of the Head of State is very tight, a number of meetings, discussions and visits will take place.
Today, in the first half of the day, the President hosted the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
During the week, the Head of State will host the President of the Council of Europe, Charles Michel. The agenda of the meeting included the discussion of the sovereignty of Uzbekistan and the European Union in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as the exchange of views on current regional and international issues.
In addition, the issue of organizing meetings with the heads of a number of foreign delegations is currently being developed.
On October 27, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to attend the European Union - Central Asia summit.
At the same time, from this working week, the governors will begin to report to the President on the work being done in terms of socio-economic development. Also, discussions are planned on the current and future priority tasks in the healthcare system, said Sherzod Asadov.
Journalist Ogabek Samisov said, "In the information about the visit to Turkmenistan, it was stated that a memorandum was signed in the field of energy as well. What is reflected in it?" the spokesman answered this question:
- This memorandum envisages cooperation such as training of experts in the field of energy, efficient use of common facilities. An important part of the document is the agreement on the supply of electricity. According to it, a deal was signed on purchase of 4 billion kilowatt hours of electricity per year from Turkmenistan.
