On October 19, the Ministries of Defense of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan signed a plan of bilateral cooperation for 2023 in Baku. The document was signed at the meeting of the Uzbek Minister of Defense Bakhodir Kurbanov and his Azerbaijan counterpart Zakir Khasanov.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, the counterparts discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields, as well as regional security and a number of other issues.

Bakhodir Kurbanov noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the field of defense "served to further strengthen the defense capability of the armies of the two states." He also congratulated his colleague on the upcoming Victory Day (a holiday in Azerbaijan on the occasion of the victory in the Second Karabakh War, which is marked on November 8).

The Uzbekistan delegation got acquainted with the technical capabilities of the Azerbaijan central command administration at the Central Command Post.
