Agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Iran on the simplification of visa procedures for representatives of business and scholars, as well as tourist groups took effect today on October 13, UzA reported.
The deal was signed during the official visit of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Uzbekistan on September 14-16.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the agreement consists of 11 articles, and its entry into force will facilitate "further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries, the development of trade, economic, tourism, scientific and scientific ties."
