Two Uzbek nationals on the international wanted list by Interpol for committing grave crimes have been extradited from Poland to Uzbekistan, the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan said in a statement.

One of the wanted men, who has been hiding abroad for a long time, is being accused of drug trafficking for the purpose of sale. He was detained by Interpol officers in Ukraine.

The second man is accused of defrauding over 2,000 citizens of Uzbekistan, who invested about $2 million in a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme. He was detained in Turkey.

The statement noted the joint coordinated actions of the employees of the Interpol bureau in Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Poland and Turkey, as well as the assistance of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland.
