President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation led by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on Tuesday, the presidential press service said in a statement.
As reported in of the head of state, during the meeting the issues of expanding practical partnership with Tatarstan and promoting joint innovation projects in priority sectors of the economy were substantively considered.
The parties reportedly commended first outcomes of mutually beneficial cooperation at the level of major companies and enterprises. The scale of cooperation is expanding within the framework of the Chirchik chemical-industrial technopark in the Tashkent province. In particular, 16 investment projects are being prepared and implemented.
In addition, they discussed the ways to deepen cooperation and promoting projects in the field of mechanical engineering, the production of new types of chemical products, in the field of small-scale chemistry and oil refining, agricultural production, and the IT sector in accordance with the adopted road map.
They focused on the implementation of joint business projects in the provinces of Uzbekistan, including in the Jizzakh and Tashkent provinces.
An agreement was reached on the implementation of programs in the field of education, training and advanced training of personnel in technical specialties.
