President of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel will visit the countries of Central Asia. He tweeted about upcoming visits to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
According to him, he has accepted the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and will visit Astana on October 26-27 and attend a meeting of leaders of Central Asian countries.
On October 28, he will visit Tashkent for talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
“The EU is ready to deepen ties with Central Asia and support regional cooperation,” he wrote.
The last time Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Charles Michel had a telephone conversation on July 4 against the backdrop of the tragic events in Karakalpakstan.
