On October 6, Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov had a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, they discussed the outcomes of the SCO Summit in Samarkand on September 15-16.
“In the context of the declaration of comprehensive strategic partnership ties between Uzbekistan and Russia, signed by the heads of state on the sidelines of the summit, the parties reportedly confirmed mutual stance to further all-round strengthening of allied ties.
In addition, the ministers exchanged views on issues of Uzbek-Russian foreign policy cooperation as part of the implementation of the cooperation program between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2022-2023.
