Fire broke out in the synthesis shop of Plant No. 5 of Maxam Chirchiq enterprise On Tuesday, at about 8:30 am in Chirchik, Tashkent province, which led to an explosion. This was reported by the press service of the provincial governor office. Footage of the incident surfaced on social networks.
The governor Zoyir Mirzayev instructed the relevant departments to urgently eliminate the consequences of the incident.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the leadership of the Emergencies Department of the province and special equipment were working on the ground. Measures are being taken to contain and eliminate the fire, the office said in a statement.
Maxam Chirchiq produces mineral fertilizers, chemical products and some consumer goods.
