Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held extended talks on simplifying drug registration between the two delegations headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khojaev and the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Jumangarin.

During the conversation, the sides discussed industrial cooperation development and agreed to shortly develop project-estimate documents for the organization of the external and internal infrastructure of the International Industrial Cooperation Center (IICC), the relevant intergovernmental agreement regulating the activities of the IICC.

The parties considered the possibilities of implementing joint projects in the two countries in the automotive industry, the production of phosphorus and complex mineral fertilizers, and the electrical engineering industry.

The parties discussed the ways to expand cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical production and agriculture and agreed to simplify the registration of medicines and to work together on the production and delivery of agricultural products based on forward contracts.

Given the diversification of railways and highways and the increase in the number of flights between the two countries, prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics were also analyzed.

Issues of organizing the next 20th meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission on bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and the 4th joint interregional forum in Tashkent were also discussed.
