President’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov briefed about the work schedule of the head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev this week. He noted tha the 22nd SCO Summit in Samarkand on September 15-16 was the most important political event not only of the week, but of the whole year.

The event will be attended by the leaders of 8 member-countries - Uzbekistan, China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, of the 3 observer countries - Belarus, Iran, Mongolia and the head of state and of governments of 4 invited countries - Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Armenia.

First, a meeting of the leaders of the member states of the organization will be held in a narrow circle, and then an extended meeting with the participation of all delegations will be held. Bilateral meetings are also planned within the framework of the summit. Over 30 accords are planned to be signed at the Summit.

On the sidelines of the summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold bilateral meetings with the heads of a number of delegations, exchange opinions with them on the state and prospects of cooperation.
