The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, headed by Minister Pulat Bobozhonov, attended the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, which was held on September 8 in Cholpan-Ata (Kyrgyzstan), the press service of the ministry reported.

The meeting was attended by the ministers of internal affairs of the republics of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, as well as the director of the Bureau for Coordinating the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime in the Territory of the CIS Member States (BCFOC).

The meeting discussed priority issues of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs and the police of the CIS countries in the implementation of interstate programs to combat crime, as well as the preparation of a draft interstate program of joint measures to combat crime for 2024-2028.

The parties also considered the feasibility of creating a Unified Register of Internet resources subject to blocking in accordance with the national laws of the CIS member states.

The meeting also discussed the ways to counter illicit distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, cooperation in the field of preventing the use by citizens of the Commonwealth member states of the institution of changing citizenship in order to evade criminal and other liability, and others.
