On September 7, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the Ambassador of the United States of America Daniel Rosenblum, who is ending his posting in Uzbekistan, the presidential press service said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reportedly noted Daniel Rosenblum’s contribution to the development of the Uzbek-American strategic partnership ties.

“In recent years, a constructive political dialogue has been established. Mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation is expanding through joint efforts. The volume of the two-way trade is growing, a number of investment projects are being implemented with the participation of leading U.S. companies. Bilateral programs are being implemented in the field of education and healthcare,” the statement said.

“The U.S. Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude for the high appreciation of his work and assured that he would continue to actively support the strengthening of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries,” the presidential press service added.

In August, by decree of the President of Uzbekistan, the U.S. diplomat was awarded the Dustlik Order (Friendship).

At the end of June, Gazeta.uz published a long interview with Daniel Rosenblum. In it, he spoke about the priorities of American foreign policy in Uzbekistan, the successes and failures of reforms, the connection between freedom of speech and the development of the country.

As reported earlier, Jonathan Hennick has been approved as the new U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
