As part of the visit of the government delegation, the Uzbek Deputy PM/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khojaev met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Leonid Zaits in Minsk.

The counterparts discussed current state of bilateral trade-economic and investment cooperation and expressed mutual interest in reaching major agreements within the upcoming 9th meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission on bilateral cooperation.

In order to expand the nomenclature of delivered goods and increase the volume of trade, the parties decided to sign a Roadmap and to take appropriate measures to set up permanent trade-logistics centers, trading houses and showrooms in both countries.

Willingness to help Belarusian companies to launch production of pharmaceutical products, localize production of Belarusian tractors, commercial, road construction and agricultural machinery in Uzbekistan.

The parties also focused on establishing joint farms for export of finished agricultural products to the markets of third countries and the direct delivery of Uzbek fruits and vegetables to the Belarusian market on the basis of Agroexpress project.
