At the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan was held a meeting with the delegation of South Korea, Dunyo reported. Reportedly, the delegation headed by the visiting Chairman of the Construction and Transport Committee of the Korean Parliament Kim Du Gwan was hosted by the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, Azizbek Latifjonov.

At the meeting, the First Vice-Chairman of the South Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association Kim Chang Keon, President of TDC Co Ltd Choi In Chang and others briefed about the modern training center project in Uzbekistan to train citizens to respond to fire safety and emergencies in cooperation with the Fire Safety Korean Association. The parties agreed to actively support the implementation of this project through cooperation between the public and private sectors.

A modern training center to train citizens in fire safety and emergency response will be built in Uzbekistan on 5 hectares through direct investment of about $30 million.

8 special fire engines and medical equipment, protective and other equipment were delivered free of charge to Uzbekistan from South Korea. In August, in the Tashkent and Fergana provinces, the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized training courses on the use of this equipment with the participation of Korean specialists.
