Brazil has expressed readiness to organize Portuguese language courses for the Uzbek youth, Dunyo reported. that during the visit of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Javlon Vahobov to Brasilia city, talks were held with the Secretary of Higher Education Vilas Boas de Souza.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main results of the large-scale reforms and changes implemented in the field of fundamental improvement of the personnel training system in our country, attracting advanced foreign experience to the field, developing a competitive environment, increasing the number and quality of higher educational institutions, and significantly increasing the number of students of higher educational institutions.
Vilas Boas de Souza emphasized that Uzbekistan and Brazil were pursueing common goals in the field of education, that it is necessary to exchange experience in improving its quality, and to establish the exchange of students and teachers.
According to him, there are 2,400 higher educational institutions in the country, with 8 million students. 69 federal universities are under state supervision, and a total of 1.3 million students.
Vilas Boas de Souza also said that Brazil was ready to consider the issue of organizing Portuguese language courses for the youth of Uzbekistan.
It was noted that scientists and researchers of the two countries can establish mutual cooperation in the institute established within the Ministry of Science, Technologies and Innovations. The organization includes 70 modern research centers located in 27 universities, and its main task is to introduce innovative and advanced technological solutions to current issues in the life of society.
According to her, the expansion of the participation of Brazilian higher education institutions in the international arena will lead to an increase in the scientific potential of the country, conducting research in mutual cooperation and increasing the indicators of the country's universities in the world rankings.
