The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Austria Abat Faizullaev held a meeting with the director of the Vienna Diplomacy Academy (VDA), the former ambassador of Austria to Russia Emil Brix, Dunyo reported.

The directions of mutual cooperation between the Academy of Vienna and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan were discussed.

During the dialogue, the parties considered to involve the staff of the Vienna Diplomacy Academy in the teaching processes of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, to organize master classes with the participation of foreign experts to improve the qualifications of university teachers-professors.

Emil Brix suggested that representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy make an introductory visit to VDA in order to exchange experience. The sides discussed to create an opportunity for students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in the field of bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies and independent researchers to improve their skills at the Vienna Diplomacy Academy by establishing mutual student exchange programs.

Founded in 1754, the Vienna Diplomacy Academy is the oldest diplomatic school in the world. The main directions of student education are international relations, political science, world economy, history, as well as international law and European Union law. Graduates of the Academy are admitted to the Austrian Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs without any selection.
