Uzbekistan imported 13,200 tons of tea from China in 6 months, the State Statistics Committee said in a report. In January-June 2022, Uzbekistan imported 16.1 thousand tons of tea from 21 foreign countries worth total of 21.8 million US dollars.
Reportedly, tea imports increased by 788 tons compared to the same period last year.
In the first half of 2022, China is the top country that exported the most tea to Uzbekistan - 13.2 thousand tons.
China is followed by Kenya on 940 tons and Iran on 432 tons of tea.
These countries are followed by:
- India - 337 tons;
- Indonesia - 292 tons;
- Sri Lanka - 215 tons;
- Russia - 149 tons;
- Vietnam - 126 tons;
- Kazakhstan - 124 tons;
- UAE - 111 tons.
